Information we collect
We collect information needed to create and deliver your report, including your name, email address, phone number, property address, roof and map information, electricity usage, tariff, budget and backup preferences. If you upload an electricity bill, it is processed to extract relevant values and the temporary upload is deleted after processing.
How we use information
We use your information to calculate and deliver the report, process payment, provide account access, respond to support requests, prevent fraud and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We use service providers where necessary, including Yoco for payment processing, mapping and satellite data providers, tariff data services, hosting and database backup providers. These providers process information only for the relevant service.
Storage and security
Account and report data is stored in our protected database. Payments are completed on Yoco's secure checkout and we do not store card details. We use access controls, encrypted connections and backups, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold, subject to legal and operational retention requirements. Email hello@mysolarbuddy.co.za.
